We contacted a recommended painter about some exterior painting that needed doing on our house; difficult and finicky work, with exposed rafter tails and hard-to-reach exterior corners. He referred us to Don McGee Painting who did an excellent job at a really fair price. The prep work was excellent - I hadn't seen the underside of my eaves or porch look that clean ever! Don and his assistant bleached, scrubbed and power-washed, then caulked carefully. There was one mix-up of color, which Don immediately solved, and all else went very smoothly. Although the contract only specified one coat of paint on all surfaces, they actually put several coats on the doors, and must have repainted /or recoated sections of the eaves paint, also. (We were covering white with a dark color- and when they were done, there was not a hint of white visible.) And as an extra nice touch, they went back and cleaned all the windows when they were finished. If you like working with a nice, local guy with lots of experience, who does careful, conscientious work - the kind of work that's going to last a long time - instead of a big company whose prime focus is covering all surfaces as quickly and as efficiently as possible - Don McGee is definitely an excellent choice. I'd recommend him in a second!

Don and his team did a great job! Always right on time, very professional, open to suggestions but offered plenty of guidance. We met with a few different painters and were really happy with our choice. Don's prices were very competitive and he was easy to work with. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to a friend (actually I already have!)."

The quality of the job was excellent and the price was fair. I had to wait a couple weeks before the crew could get here as they were finishing a very large job. It took 3 days to paint the exterior of my 1480 sq ft house. Otherwise, I have no complaints and would use Don and his crew again.
Member Comments: Like I said, they were busy finishing a large job so I had to wait 2 weeks but when they got here it was all business. They were very receptive to a few little details that I wanted and did everything that I asked. They were also very conscious of doing a quality job. The house looks great.
